Here is the thread for Wilson State lake in SEK for people to post if they've been fishing it.

Fished it Monday and had some good luck.  Me and a buddy caught 7 keepers and numerous small fish.  Only caught 2 spotted bass.  Usually you can pull lots of spotties out of there, we just couldnt find them.  Basically caught all fish off homeade jigs that the guy I fished with makes.   ~c~

Fished Wilson last weekend and caught a few shorts but not much to talk about.  It was cool and kind of sprinkling.  About the biggest rain we've had since July 1st last year.   :(  Fish were caught on a yellow spinnerbait rolled slow.  Also fished my parents pond and tried to go to a local lake.  You can see how low everything is.  I couldnt even get my boat off the trailer.   :shocking:  Oh well.  Heres a picture.

With the water being so low it would be a great time to go tie a few new brush piles around the lake  :-* Hopefully you all will get some rain soon and fill your lakes back up. Low water is never very good for the spawns

Pretty good idea Mike.  I've actually never made any brush piles before but when I was at the lake I found a few new spots where people have made them.  Hopefully they will pay off later in the year if the rain comes.  Never in my life have I seen this area drier than it is now.   :( :'(

Fished Wilson on Sunday and started off kind of slow but ended up catching a couple nice spots.  Fish were coming on a jig and x-rap.  CO was there and said that everybody was kind of having a slow day.  Should pick up this week due to warmer temperatures.

We are finally gonna get some sizeable rains this weekend.  The water level has been slowly increasin but really hoping for a good 3-4" this weekend to get everything back up to where it should be.  The spawn this year I think was hurt by the low water and usual spawning areas not being accessible.  I might be back to fish it this weekend in the rain.

Wilson water temperature was 51 on average last weekend with most of the fish coming on a yellow and white spinnerbait back behind the bridge.  The bite south of the bridge was tough today.  North of the bridge tons of shad with some being in the 6" range.  Also, tons of crappie were present as well and were taken on anything small and flashy.
