:)All is well here in Maztlan !As far as the safety Mazatlan is a resort city there is no violence here. The city relies on tourism not drugs for income. Also there is no flu out break here. The Mexican Goverment took rapid precation measures to insure everyone safety which including fever testing at airports, and handing out masks at schools, restaraunts, and placing in contact with the handling food or high volume exposure to the public.Lake El Salto is as always producing dozens of double digit ofBass daily. Practicle every one fishing the lake is cathing a Bass ten pounds or over. There were several fish caughtin the 13 and 14 pound range. There was no topwater bite as the water is warming up ! The top producers were watermelon and watermelon red flake magnum lizards. I personnally have never seen lizard not produce a lot of fish and big fish. Crank baits and flukes wereat the top also. My guide Oscar and me found a ledge that was 16 to 20 foot deep with plenty of sunkin trees. the ledge dropped to 40 feet. We hooked 5 big fish there and only managed to land one 10 pounder. The other four were so big as soon as they were hooked bulldoged right for the wood. They wrapped and either broke the line or ripped the hook out. They were so big they could not be turned, they wouldn't come up so it was hopeless to get them out of that wooded flat. Bass averaged from two to six pounds with some 7,8's and a 10 scattered in.
