2010 Midwest Rally

Anyone had any thoughts about a Midwest Rally this year?? I was thinking about something on pool 13 in July. If we did it on a Saturday that would give our members from all around the area a chance to make it. That and it would give them a chance to see what pool 13 is all about.

What does everyone think??

A Saturday Sunday event would be better

That way if people drive a distance they at least have time to get some fishing in

Where is Pool 13 located at? I'm not familar with that section of the Mississippi River.

Do you guys stay at a state park or camp grounds vic of the river?

Pool 13 is located near Clinton, Iowa---Fulton,Thompson and Savannah IL. State parks and motels all around.

Thanks for the information.

I was looking on Google Earth at the river there vic Clinton.
There seems to be a lot of islands there.

Is there a lot of barge traffic on that part of the river.

How about we toss out some dates.

Karl I love the Sat Sunday idea.

I have two weekends in July that work for me. I can do the 10th and 11th or I could do 24th and 25th.

My vote would be for the 10th & 11th.

Guys like Karl said there is a ton of campgrouds in the area and some motels to.

It was a blast last year, lets try and get some more guys this year

I have an ABA the 11th in New boston, but its a pretty good drive and I can skip one, but I might miss one of the others due to vacation so I will have to do that 1 then.

I forgot that on the 24th I am running a tennis tournament. I can always fish on Sunday with everyone if we decide on that weekend.
