shimano bantam b-mag 1000

i bought a b-mag 1000 off ebay. so far it seems like a solid old reel. can anyone tell me more about it.

Had 1 years ago can't remember much about it but I used it for a couple of years so it must have been ok.

I had one for years until this spring. It blew out of the boat and when it hit the road it peeled the side plate off. Great little reel!

I use to be a big Shimano guy and had several of these along with some two speed model they use to make. Good reels, but then I discovered Quantum and never looked back. HEHE

Edit: Come to think of it. I still have a couple of them mounted on the old Shimano Speed Master rods. My wife keeps telling me I should sell them or throw them away, but them rods are way to cool. In fact if Shimano made them rods with today's graphite I might be talked into buying a few from the bait monkey.
