Have you and your better fishing partner (gf) thought about fishing the Rocky Mountain Team Series this year?  I think it'll be a lot of fun and maybe make a few bucks.  Guaranteed at least $1000 for first place and 90% payout.

No, you don't have to be from Colorado to fish the Rocky Mountain Team Series.  But what this Topic is about is the Colorado B.A.S.S. Federation Nation STQT at Truman.  The RMTS is a different tournament series here in CO.  Go to www.rockymountainteamseries.com for more information.

We are still waiting for your club dues so we can pay the Federation for your membership!

Yes!  You do have to be a member of the Colorado Bass Federation, by belonging to a local Colorado state club, in order to be able to fish the tournament at Truman.  As Don has said.  But apparently, your circuit does not have to be affiliated with the Colorado Bass Federation to advertise on the Colorado Bass Federation website.

Unaffiliated "entities" should not be allowed to advertise on the Colorado Bass Federation site for any reason......ever.  It causes confusion as evidence by this post above.

Notice how there is no marketing for my unaffiliated club anywhere on here, because I know it isn't ethical, I respect the "unspoken boundaries," and I will not "take advantage" of the lack of CBF management on this site in trying to gain membership for my unaffiliated club.

ok just to clarify. my post was merely in jest simply because I have been fielding question about the area and what to expect when this tournament takes place. I have NO intention of actually trying to fish it as I will already be on another lake fishing my own tournament.

If you are having a problem with non-associated tournaments posting in this thread(which should be dedictaed to the CBF only) then please contact your moderator toobman or I will try to assist in any way I can.

From time to time we have had people who live out of state join our club so that they can fish the Colorado State Team Qualifier.  One of our members who's wife is active duty military and transfered to San Antonio last year wants to fish with us this year.  Since he was a member of our club and affiliated with the military we agreed that would be ok for him so long as his club and federation dues are paid.  He is also on the state team this year.

Johnny Park lives in New Mexico but fishes with the Colorado Federation.  I fished with him last year at Havasu.  Another time one of our members moved to Missouri and fished the STQT with us on Table Rock.  I think there was someone who was in the Kansas Federation that did the same thing.

So long as a person is a member of a local chapter (club) and the Colorado BASS Federation in good standing there is no reason why they couldn't fish our STQT qualifier.  There is no pay out other than a position on the state team for this tournament.

Sure wish we could see a list of those signed up...Hello Mike Hubbard, hello...hello?

Just a quick poll:

Jay, maybe the Board can address this?

Anyone else have a problem when I, or anyone else, puts information on this site about a fishing event that is open to members of the Colorado Bass Federation Nation?

No membership is required, in ANY of my clubs, to participate, and a vast majority of Team Series participants are also in this Federation.

No person, or persons, owns the Team Series.  Any left-over funds go to the club, just like the Full Moon Open, (a fundraiser and also do not have to be in CBFN to fish,) or any other fundraising event.

We are trying to do a good thing for Colorado tournament anglers.

Misinformation and posts like the one above are divisive tactics and I would like to support cooperation between the bass organizations we have.

I have no trouble getting the information out there.  Topics need to stay on topic though.  If you want to let us know about another tournament or series, those need to have their owns topics.  Hard enough for my ADD brain to stay on track as it is.
