May 14th, 2011 Caderon dam near Guadalajara

I sent all of my 4 reels to Kevin from Pro Reel Service and got a call from a friend. He had the morning free to go out and fish until 1pm. I told him that I didn't have reels to fish with and he offered to lend me 2 baitcasting reels. So we were on for fishing!! We started to fish around 7:30am and I landed 4 small, but fun bass. All of them using drop shot with 4" YUM senko on watermelon seed/purple flake.

Slow fishing day, but fun. The morning was cold so I think that might had to do with why Bass wasn't very hungry. Clouds are starting to show up in the morning, but during the day clear sky still is the rule.

Guys, this lake where I've been fishing has a a lot of big bass. It's just that we really haven't started to really hunt for the big ones. Some people have landed some of them, but they where pure luck since they where catched using tackle and lures for not so big fish. My best guess is that if we start to really forget about catching small ones and target for 15lbs and up they will come. Here is a video from this dam that I found in Youtube
