Hello Wisconsin!

I just stumbled across this part of the site so I figured I would post a little intro and let everyone know what I am looking for. First off, my name is Stacey and I'm 26 yrs old. I recently found myself needing a new fishing partner because  ~xyz is how I feel about the last one. I have always taken an interest in bass fishing but got more serious about it last summer. I would like to find someone who I can fish with regularly...someone who is willing to teach me more about fishing. I want to get more involved in tournament fishing, but my kayak is kinda slow goin, so I need to find someone with a boat who is willing to let a girl fish on it. I live near Madison but am willing to fish anywhere in the state. And of course, all costs will be evenly split...as well as any tournament winnings. Respect...it goes a long way

Stacey,
I was just checking if you found this board it should help you on your quest to find a partner. I can relate to the symbol you describe your last partner with. I have been fishing tournament's for many year's.Mostly on the Pro Team circuits. This is the first year that I am having problems with partners. It's not that we don't get along the problem has been they show up for tournament's and want to pay out of the winnings. They live in different towns and meet me at the tourneys. So that was leaving me stuck with all the cost. Most tourney's I'm lucky and able to cash a check. But these guy's still want half the winnings and never pay back. So with you offering to pay half up front that should get you some response in your area...If the boater has extra costs maybe you could offer a little extra most guys won't take it but sometimes people need a little help with money. I fish California , Arizona and Nevada and live in Central Cali so I can't offer  much but I wish you luck and hope you find a great partner.. I also would suggest if you haven't already posted on the other forum boards that you do so you can get known around the site....Bob Tull

Thanks for the tips Bob. At this point I will apply anything that could help me find a new partner. My issue with my last partner is that we dated...oops. Women need to forget about the whole don't date a drummer stuff...I say dont date your fishing partner...or your neighbor and he happened to be both.

I actually have a few leads to other sites which should be helpful. Being a broke college student puts me at a disadvantage financially but I am always willing to share any cost of fuel or fees. If I could find a decent partner I would definitely chip in for any extras that he/she may want or need for the boat cuz hey, they are nice enough to let me on it.

What types of problems do you have with your partners? Ive heard some horror stories from people I know and that is why I am a bit leary about finding some random person to go with.

This site is actually the best most visited bass fishing forum you will find. Put a post on the Dock Talk board and I'll bet you get a lot of replies.... ~cf....Bob Tull
