This is some of the roughest looking baits that I have painted so far. The owner told me to do the best that I could do on them. He said that they didn't have to be perfect, He just wanted to see them brought back to life for his son to be able to fish with them.

Very awesome Pat, those were some rough baits.

Wow that is unbelievable!  Great work!  With your costs and labor I would think it would have been cheaper to buy new, wouldn't it?  I can understand nostalgia, but those look like pretty modern lures.

Still, great work!

Thanks Marc!!

That was the hardest baits that I have painted so far. I have two blisters alone from sanding on the Luck 13 alone!!

Thanks for the kind words!!

Several of those baits were his Grandfather's baits. He said that he has hung onto them for years. He had those done for his son to be able to fish with them again. That will be three generations of family members fishing with them. I think it was a sentimental thing for him.

I work full time in the furniture industry and only get to paint baits on the side. I do it more as a hobby than a business, so I sure he still came out on the cheaper side, by having them painted.
