No registration date, just show up early on the morning and register there. If it's the same as previous tournaments there, there will be some good numbers of anglers.

I won't be able to attend as it's a 6 hour drive for me, so please post a report back here after the tournament  ~read

It should be a fun tournament  ~gf

Did you fish this event?
If so, how did you do?

Sorry haven't been on in a while. Didn't fish the event, had some last minute soldier stuff to take care of. Been fishing the area with no luck. I see the fish all over the place, but they just aren't taking anything I throw at them. Getting confused, I went back to the basics with no luck still. I am very patient, but getting frustrated. I talk to the guys at the bait shop and get the same responses, "they are biting a wide range of baits, try green pumpkin." I think if I could land just a couple, I could figure out the pieces of the puzzle. I have thrown light colors, dark colors, worms, frogs, swim baits, jerk baits, jigs, spinnerbaits.......nothing. Early morning, evening, hot of the day....nothing. The only things I have not changes are my lines and fishing from a boat. I have had droughts, but not like this. Don't really know what to do!

The only thing we've been catching them on are drop shots and t-rigged green pumpkin worms.... It is getting very frustrating though! I feel your pain

Are you using u-tails or straight worms?

On these warm days we are having now, it's best to fish any kind of cover, over hanging trees, and even shadows from ANYTHING. The bass are also trying to keep cool and out of the sun.

I caught 22 on Sunday with spinnerbaits, 3" craws on a jighead and wacky rigs. Just got to find the shade  ;)

I was fishing some weeds on Tuesday, they were rolling like crazy. I saw one that had to be at least a 5 pounder rolling in the weeds and all but hit it in the face trying to get a reaction bite. Lost a jig and frog on a sunken log LOL. DARN FISH WAS MOCKING ME!!!  I don't know if I just missed the morning bite or what (it was 0630). Old man next to me had 1 (what looked like a type of carp) in a basket, but he was using live bait. I am thinking of trying some of the local lakes to see what I can do there next weekend.

I've been using 4-5inch straight tail worms. I cant for the life of me get anything to hit a jig. I've been using paca chunks, baby brush hogs, grubs, everything as trailers and nothing!
