I spent a few days at Toledo Bend last week. For the most part the spawn is over there so I fished some Post-Spawn patterns with our Bed Bandit, which was primarily designed to catch spawning Bass. I did this to show how the design of this bait makes it very appealing to Bass at a variety of times and when fished in multiple techniques. I caught Bass fishing it Carolina rigged in 9-12 ft of water and I caught Bass using it as a top water bait in a "walking the dog" action. This was allot of fun. I put up a pictures of a Bass I picked up with the Double X. I had caught several fish off of this one particular hump with the Bed Bandit, and after the bite slowed I switched to the Double X and picked up several more fish!

If you have any questions about this technique just let me know!

Awesome! I don't think I've every see Toledo that calm LOL

I've always thought that the Bed Bandit would make a great Carolina rig bait as well. Got to be honest I didn't think about it being a top water bait though :-*

You are absolutely right Mike, it works just like a lizard and when Carolina rigged, you don't have problems detecting bites, the fish will let you know! When fishing Beds I recommend Texas rigged. Other than top water, it works very well fished just like you would any fluke type bait.

By the way, i bought some of these and the first 'outing' on a small local pond landed me 2 bass with them.  Both were small, but i wasnt in an area conducive for bigger bass... once the grass grows in on the potomac i'll be slingin these things.
