Mystery Package

I called home at lunch today to check on my wife and ask if she needed me to pick up anything on the way home. After she gave me a small (for her anyway) shopping list she mentioned that a package came for me today. She wanted to know what I spent money on and she didn't believe me when I said I hadn't ordered anything. So I asked her where the package came from. She said the label said Outdoor Pro Shop Monster Fishing Tackle.com. Now she really didn't believe me and thought I bought myself something even though we have the Christmas budget tightly planned out this year.

When I got home I told my kid to put away the groceries and I made a beeline for the box. I opened it to find a pair of Pitbull Braid cutters inside!!!  No invoice, just the cutters. 

I unfortunately could not do the Secret Santa this year so I know it's not that. I am sure as to who is responsible but he keeps saying it wasn't him.  Fortunately for me I'm not as dumb as I look.

Thank you Santa. I'm still mad at you.

Well, Smallie, now you know what a good pair of real braid cutters feel like.

Yes sir I do. I've never had any tool cut braid so smoothly and cleanly even with tension applied. I can with all honesty say these are the best braid cutters I have ever used.

Like I said I know who it was and it wasn't Lee  This time.

I honestly don't know who it was, but here are the things I know for sure:

A certain member, and he knows who he is, texted me about 2 or 3 days before the package arrived asking for my mailing address. When I asked why he needed it his reply was "none to business"!!!!  (I think he meant none yo business but either auto-correct or big fingers messed that one up a little  ). I gave him my addy and a few days later the box showed up.

So either he did it, or someone used him as a decoy. But knowing this particular person I ain't buying the decoy alibi.

Just sayin'   

Whoever it was, all I can say is thank you and I hope I can return the kindness someday and also find a way to pay it forward too.

Well I trust your word so I guess it wasn't Lee. My second guess would be that it might have been you.

I wish I could get in on the Secret Santa but I just can't this year. At least the Secret Santa gifts get some clues thrown in so you can try and figure out who it was. I can't do that since the box came directly from Monster and there was no invoice or any other information in the box.
