I got 2 books, Woodworker's Pocket Book and The Anarchist's Tool Chests, both good reference books. Had lots of great Italian food and best of all, time with family that didn't require social media.

My gift this year was the deep pockets of everyone on the site. Being able to raise over $12K for the Adopt A Family was truly amazing and I hope everyone that gave, still got all the holiday presents and cheer they wanted and deserve. 

I did get a t-shirt from the boys  Not a lot to go around after making sure the boys had a wonderful Christmas

I think we all got a gift by being part of the Adopt A Family.

No fishing tackle for Christmas this year which is alright.  We pickup a new Samsung 65" Smart TV and all the accessories that come with it for the house.  Dwayne and Pam are here for the holidays.  Pam hasn't been home in over 5 yrs due to her working overseas and all this Covid mess going on.

Life is good.  Adopt a Family $12,000.00 dollars Wow    I remember a couple years ago when I did the presentation here in Belton, Texas.  There were some people surprise that a bunch of fisherman would do something like this.  I told them we do this every year

I got 3 Bob's Machine deck plugs. I never use a seat or pedestal so I've got 3 holes letting leaves and junk into the bottom of my boat.
I dont anymore.

BBQ stuff, some safety glasses and books.
I got this awesome grill/smoker a little while back and been on a meat frenzy, so the fam got me some tools, gloves, marinades and other stuff. The safety glasses are for blacksmithing, they block a certain wavelength of light produced by hot metal that's known to cause eye strain and eventual blindness.
Got my truck back, not really a gift I guess but it was just in time to haul off all the Christmas garbage. The paper and cardboard went to the recycling place of course.
Almost forgot, got a Samsung surround sound system! It's pretty sweet!

No fishing stuff. I haven't been fishing in quite a while now. Been so much stuff going on between house buying, surgery, work, vehicle repairs, etc. sometimes I feel like home is just where I sleep and pet my dog.

The previous 2 years I didn't get any fishing stuff either. In fact I probably wouldn't have gotten any this year either but a friend gave my kid a lottery ticket and it turned out to be a $500 winner.

He said he was using the money to go to see his best friend in upstate NY, which he did. He just didn't tell me he wasn't using it all for that.

He's a good kid.

Ever since I worked at Mosquito Control, I carried two cheap knives in my pocket.  One for cutting chemical bags, and other seals, and the other one for cutting food and anything non poisonous.  I carried the same Spyderco Delica when "off duty" for well over 25 years.
Since I'm now "retired" more or less, Jan thought that for Christmas, my tried and true Delica should retire too, and I should start carrying better grade knives for a change.  So I got a Spiderco Tenacious to clip on my pocket, and another Delica to carry in my pocket.
They are still under $100, each but are a big step up from those two for $12 ones I used to buy off the Christmas stocking stuffer shelves.
Yea, I guess I'm a Spyderco fan boi.
