Last post by Capt. BassinLou - Today at 03:03:53 PMConditions:
Water Temps: 89-90
Outside temps: Hot and humid 93 - w/ 107 Heat index!!
Water levels: Dropping
Skies: Cloudy to partly cloudy.
Water clarity: slight stain
Fishing Time: 0615-11:45am
Bass Boated: I stopped counting. A lot!
Today was scouting trip for guide trip I have tomorrow, plus a video shooting day. I arrived at the ramp pretty early. Surprisingly several boats beat me to the ramp. Launched and made a short a run. Wanted to work a particular stretch specifically today. I have several areas already dialed in for my guide trip.
The morning was extremely humid. I was drenched in sweat before 730! I started with top water. Dialed in the action right away. Lost one decent bass, and boated a bunch of smaller bass.
Spent the morning, shooting video, and catching bass for footage. With the trip planned for tomorrow, I called the trip early. I was drenched in sweat, and need to stay hydrated for my clients. The way the bite is going lately, these guys are going to busy catching, which means I'm going to be active moving around taking bass off hooks!!
I will keep you guys posted with another report tomorrow! Thanks for reading!

Last post by coldfront - Today at 01:33:11 PMbut I'm smilin' on the inside! c'mon man!
actually, to be fair, when I'm working with the fish out of water, I'm focussed on getting them unhooked and back into the water...
all business. for the fish.
can share that the couple of 'probable' 10-pounders I've hooked, SEEN in all their glory and lost... did get a laugh, and a big smile from me.
but the one's that make it in the boat? I am focussed on getting them back and insuring they swim away...
the bigger the fish, the more serious the situation...

Last post by Donald Garner - Today at 12:40:33 PMGreetings to everyone,
Partly sunny day across Central Texas today Our forecasted temps for today are 67-82dgrs with 60%humidity with a SE wind @ 6mphs. The extended forecast is looking sunny and warm. This is great as we need to dry out now.
Had a few errands to tend to this morning. I had my 24hour urinalysis sample to turn in to the lab this morning. I had breakfast at the cafeteria while there. They fix some pretty good biscuits and gravy with fried eggs, hashbrowns and bacon at the hospital cafeteria
Dwayne went with me and after breakfast we drove over to Cowhouse Creek and checked it out. Needless to say with all this heavy rains we've had it was flooded out pretty good. The Corp of Engineers estimate that Belton Lake is going to continue to rise another 10ft before the end of May This means the lake isn't going to be open till around Aug if this happens
Got back home and did a walk around after the previous hail storm. We got ( 8 ) window screens that are damaged. The roof covering the upper deck patio has some serious water damage and mold that needs to be taken care of. I called my homeowners insurance company and it will be 5-10 days before an adjustor will be in contact with me. I'm glad nothing serious happened to the house or my vehicles.
Alrighty y'all take care and enjoy the day. Be safe in your travels if you have to get out and about.
